Reserve Shiraz 2016
Gralyn Estate is regarded as one of Margaret River’s top Shiraz producers. The first Shiraz was vintaged in 1979, and time has proven these wines have the ability to age beautifully in bottle. This ‘Reserve’ is a selection of the best barrels from the vintage—wines that show exceptional structure, depth and balance.
A fragrant, medium-bodied Shiraz co-fermented with 5% Viognier and sourced from old vine fruit. Deep purple-crimson in colour, the bouquet is highly perfumed with ripe black fruits, violet, pepper, spice and cedary oak. The palate is supple, well balanced and richly flavoured with blackberry, plum, cedar and exotic spice. Fine silky tannins and subtle oak integration support a long, persistent finish. This wine will reward careful cellaring through to 2036.
