Chocolate Ruby Fortified 2023
Founders Merilyn and Graham Hutton—pioneers of the region’s first fortified wines in 1978—have long crafted small batches of chocolate port from their own secret recipe. Once a private indulgence, this richly flavoured wine is now shared in limited releases.
Deep ruby crimson in colour, it’s made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and infused with dark chocolate during vinification. Exotic aromas of blackberry and cocoa rise from the glass, leading into a perfectly balanced palate. The richness of ripe plum and dark chocolate is a magic combination that lingers on the finely textured finish. A luxurious, full-flavoured fortified—born from tradition and shared for pleasure.
