Cabernet Sauvignon 2001
Museum Release
A benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon from a remarkable vintage, carefully cellared and now re-released in limited quantities as a Museum Release.
This superb wine reflects the strength and finesse of Gralyn Estate’s long-standing Cabernet program. Deep crimson in hue with brick-red edges, the bouquet is expressive and mature—showing blackcurrant, liquorice, spice, and hints of earth and cedar. The palate is finely structured, elegant and powerful, with ripe dark fruits, supple tannins and a savoury, persistent finish.
Widely acclaimed, this wine has stood proudly alongside First Growth Bordeaux in international tastings, with Winestate Magazine noting it “more than held its own” against Château Latour, Lafite and Haut-Brion. It was also awarded Gold at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London, where judges described it as “simply superb.” Robert Parker Jr. praised it as “one of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons I have ever tasted from Margaret River,” awarding it 94 points for its purity, presence and individuality.
Now at perfect maturity, this Museum Release is drinking beautifully and will continue to evolve through to 2030 and beyond.
