Artizan Rare Muscat has made history at the Sydney Royal Wine Show, winning the J.C.M. Fornachon Memorial Perpetual Trophy for Best Fortified.
For the first time in the trophy’s 54-year history, it has been awarded to a Western Australian winery. This distinguished award is the Artizan’s 16th trophy — and its most prestigious yet. The win comes in our 50th anniversary year, honouring the foresight of founders Graham and Merilyn Hutton, and confirms the Artizan Rare Muscat’s place among Australia’s finest fortified wines. A proud moment that writes Western Australia into the history of this iconic trophy.

Aged fortifieds, from individual barriques, have been carefully selected and blended to create a true object of virtu. Deep amber-gold with anolive-green rim. Scented and intriguing, with cigar box, tea leaf and prune. The palate is intensely layered and lively with treacle, raisin and orange marmalade.
