Gralyn Estate is regarded as one of Margaret River’s top Shiraz producers. The first Shiraz was vintaged in 1979 and time has proven these wines have the ability to age beautifully in the bottle. This ‘Reserve’ is a selection of the ‘best of the best’ barrels. Deep purple crimson in colour, perfumed with spice, blackberry, plum and cedary oak. The palate is supple, well balanced and richly flavoured with ripe black fruits, cedar and spice. A core of sweet berry fruit and finely structured tannins support a long, persistent finish. This wine will reward careful cellaring.

Accolades
"A stylish and elegant style of shiraz that seems to be a continuation of the stye shift that I first saw with the 2017, albeit a vintage driven by its coolness. The wine has a vibrant, lively colour and a perfumed aroma that has picked up the nuances of 5% viognier which was co-fermented. It also has a spicy, sweet fruit core that drives through to a finish supported by fine silky tannins and neatly managed oak." 96 Points

"Deep ruby colour from core to rim. Blackberry, lantana flowers and graphite aromas. The palate shows a deep and concentrated black fruit core, layered underneath with black olive, graphite, and peppermint notes. Firm and tannins control its concentration well and push it long to the finish."
